A pair of 1960s Italian aluminium wall lights attributed to Goffredo Reggiani

About the Item

A pair of 1960s Italian modernist aluminum wall lights attributed to Gioffredo Reggiani. This pair of wall lights is made from thick spun aluminum with a concentric circle design arranged into cylinders with gaps that allow the light to disperse in a modernistic fashion. The finely brushed finish gives it a luxurious satin feel. There are three bulb holders inside. Goffredo Reggiani was born in 1929 and created the Reggiani Illuminazione company in the early 1950s. Initially specialized in the production of decorative lamps, Reggiani personally took care of the design of the prototypes. His attention to detail and perfection pushed him to approach prominent artists and architects such as Gio Ponti and Richard Rogers to improve his creations. The Reggiani workshop then transformed into an important lighting industry. His innovations have had a notable impact throughout Europe, as evidenced by the numerous awards he has received.
